‘Laced with Romance’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. twelve years ago, The Ponys briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “I’ll Make You A Star”. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of The Ponys energies, virtually a rebirth. Laced with Romance is not something you should pass up.
The Ponys sings I’ll Make You A Star in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Trouble Trouble is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Chemical Imbalance - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Looking Out A Mirror is almost impossible to review. Little Friends can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what The Ponys is all about. This song stands out greatly from the others. Sad Eyes great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Lets Kill Ourselves - This is a very lively song. 10 Fingers 11 Toes is another strong production from The Ponys.
