Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of The Residents on ‘blue suede shoes’. The King And Eye - MusicAngel carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for The Residents’s new album to that on ‘The King And Eye - MusicAngel’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. blue suede shoes and the baby king part 1 is really good.
the baby king part 1 is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. don’t be cruel is perfect. heart breack hotel is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. A unique and uplifting song. I came to like the baby king part 2. teddy bear is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. It’s such an underrated song. stuck on you is one of the coolest songs The Residents has ever recorded. big hunk o’love - This one makes me want to not only sing along. A great put together song. the baby king part 3 is excellent work of The Residents. In little sister it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Residents has yet to define own style. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. burning love is worth the money. In viva las vegas you won’t find any flashy solos. baby king part 4 is simple, dignified and effective, The Residents refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. love me tender had me crying as I was able to relate so well. baby king part 5 is a great opener for The King And Eye - MusicAngel. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
