Seven And Storm isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Parov Stelar’s album Seven And Storm falls to No. 2 with 418,000, a sales slide of 99%. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Parov Stelar energies, virtually a rebirth. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is My Inner Me (feat. Phoebe Hall)
My Inner Me (feat. Phoebe Hall) is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. It took me a little time but I ended up loving If I Had You. No Parov Stelar song has come close to capturing my attention as Nowhere (feat. Billy Kern) did. I like the agression and power of Faith (feat. Odetta Di Maio). This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Seven And Storm. When listening to The One (feat. Miss Anita Riegler), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Powder. Dark Jazz is probably the highlight of the album. Between The Machine - another great track from the Seven And Storm album. Seven And Storm couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Warm Inside (feat. Leena Conquest). After about the third Storm listen through, I began to believe this song is Parov Stelar’s essence. Spygame (Bonustrack) make listening to Parov Stelar like being in some sort of time warp.
