This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Nightfall has. Since Nightfall last CD (Lyssa - Rural Gods And Astonishing Punishments) on Capitol Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. This disc has all of the essential Nightfall classics. Such great and happy songs.
|titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Christless is Nightfall’s best work in years. This is one hell of a track. Album opener The Perfect Li(f)e is a bright, upbeat ditty. I think The End Times is the best song Nightfall has ever done. Synastry is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. One Of These Days has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Nightfall’s strong vocals come to the fore. After about the third Victimized listen through, I began to believe this song is Nightfall’s essence. In So(u)l Invictus Nightfall spins a tale you want to hear to the end. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
