This album has some very good songs like El Malo and Hustler. There is no doubt that Willie Colon has talent. Lead single “El Malo” and “Hustler” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Check it every song is worth the money for the Og - Original Gangster CD!
Hustler is cool song though, very addictive. The song Eso Se Baila Asi ending is my favorite… so catchy! After few listenings I started to like Barrunto more and more. Che Che Cole is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Juana Pena which is my favorite is a truly Willie Colon sounding song. I like the idea behind Aguanile. Calle Luna Calle Sol is a good listen every once in a while. Don’t judge MC2 (Theme Realidades) - Colon, Willie on the first listening. All of songs on Og - Original Gangster and have something to say letting alone Pablo Pueblo - Colon, Willie & Ruben Blades. Pedro Navaja - Colon, Willie & Ruben Blades - another great track from the Og - Original Gangster album. As always, Willie Colon’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Og - Original Gangster couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track What Happened - Colon, Willie & Ruben Blades. Set Fire To Me - Colon, Willie very upbeat.
