It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Willie Colon energies, virtually a rebirth. El Baquine de Angelitos Negros carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is one of the best Cd’s Willie Colon has dropped to date. One of Willie Colon’s best albums yet.
This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Voice and instruments in 8th Avencue (In the Park) complement each other. Apartamento 21 pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Para Los Viejitos from the beginning to the end. Acuerdate - Colon, Willie is a very catchy tune. This track is a great song that still never gets old. If you are a Willie Colon fan, you will love Angelitos Negros, Pt. 1. No Willie Colon song has come close to capturing my attention as Son Guajira del Encuentro did. Overall a nice softer song. Camino al Barrio - Check out that bassline!
