This is one of the best Cd’s Willie Colon has dropped to date. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Willie Colon energies, virtually a rebirth. El Malo isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. I Love El Malo from start to finish!
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Willie Baby. Borinquen without a doubt is the standout song of El Malo. Willie Whopper is perfect. Malo is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Skinny Papa - A catchy, upbeat tune. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on El Malo is Chonqui. Best song on the album, love it.
