When you buy a Waltari album, you know exactly what you’re getting! It’s natural for Waltari to take a stab at ‘Helsinki’ considering her long-professed love for Ultra Dolphins. Waltari was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Waltari and Blood Sample together. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Not Enough is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Overall a nice softer song. Never is probably the highlight of the album. New York is perfect work of Waltari. I’m In Pain is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Waltari sings his heart out in All Roads Will Lead To Rome. Digging Inside is probably the most interesting track on Blood Sample. Fly Into The Light is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Shades To Grace is probably one of Waltari’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Within the first few notes of Aching Eyes it’s perfectly clear that Waltari is living this song. Back To The Audio is one of the more up-tempo songs on Blood Sample. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Exterminator Warheads. Darling Boy is a very catchy tune. Wide Awake is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Julia is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
