Since completing 2006’s ‘It Ain’t Me Babe’, June Carter fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Self-described as Country with lots of words, June Carter comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. six years ago, June Carter briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Jackson”. This album is in perfect progression from June Carter!
From the moment you listen to Jackson you’re hooked. Only one song from Duets named Long Legged Guitar Pickin’ Man really got me. I think Oh, What A Good Thiing We Had is the best song June Carter has ever done. Darlin’ Companion one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. If I Were A Carpenter is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. In Cause I Love You June Carter is at his best. No Need To Worry - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. I hope to keep hearing June Carter works for a long time to come. A great put together song. The Pine Tree is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Old Time Feeling is one of the more up-tempo songs on Duets. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Brand New Dance one of the best in my collection. Far Side Banks Of Jordan sets the tone for the entire album. It Takes One To Know One is almost impossible to review.
