Lead single “Silent Night” and “I [Instrumental]” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It has been ten years Pizzicato Five’ last studio CD, “Great White Wonder” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. For older fans Great White Wonder will put a massive smile accross your face. One of Pizzicato Five’s best albums yet.
A fantastic track full of wonder. After few listenings I started to like Kaimono-O Theme more and more. Kid’s Challenge Theme is cool and different song. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. This is probably my favorite song on the album. I like the idea behind Nata Di Marzo [Natsuki Mari Vocal Version]. Catwalk [St. Etienne Remix] is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. If you are a Pizzicato Five fan, you will love Tokyo-FM Jingle. The song feels complete. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Pizzicato Five. In My Name Is Jack Pizzicato Five spins a tale you want to hear to the end. K-I-S-S is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Pizzicato Five ever produced. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. When I listen to Spellbound in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. What’s New Pussycat? [Live] still maintains something of a specific flourish. Me, Japanese Boy [Live] is the song that really did it for me. Thank You [CNN Mix] has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Pizzicato Five’s strong vocals come to the fore. I love the melodic melody of Night Is Still Young [KCRW-FM Live Take] and to this day it makes me feel good. Album opener Silent Night is a bright, upbeat ditty.
