It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Dissection energies, virtually a rebirth. When you buy a Dissection album, you know exactly what you’re getting! There were many famous songs of Dissection available. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
The Somberlain is the more seemingly obscure song on The Somberlain (Ultimate Reissue) that bear up best to repeated listening. Crimson Towers is one of these floating songs. Land Forlorn is almost impossible to review. Heaven’s Damnation is a very catchy tune. Frozen - A strong beat. In Into Infinite Obscurity you won’t find any flashy solos. In The Cold Winds Of Nowhere was the first single release from the album The Somberlain (Ultimate Reissue). This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Blew our minds when we first heard Mistress Of The Bleeding Sorrow. Feathers Fell is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Somberlain (Ultimate Reissue). Frozen (Unreleased Live Recording ‘95) is the most memorable and marvelous. The Somberlain (Unreleased Live Recording ‘95) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Shadows Over A Lost Kingdom (Into Infinite Obscurity 7” EP 1991 (Remastered Original Mix) is a bit different from Dissection stereotypical stuff. Son Of The Mourning (Into Infinite Obscurity 7” EP 1991 (Remastered Original Mix) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Into Infinite Obscurity (Into Infinite Obscurity 7” EP 1991 (Remastered Original Mix) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Frozen (Demo 1992 (Remastered Original Mix)) (3:28) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Dissection emotions are reflected through In The Cold Winds Of Nowhere (Demo 1992 (Remastered Original Mix)). Feathers Fell (Demo 1992 (Remastered Original Mix)) is pretty funky and mellow. Mistress Of The Bleeding Sorrow (Demo 1992 (Remastered Original Mix)) makes a person feel cool. The Call Of The Mist (The Grief Prophecy Demo 1990 (Remastere Original Mix)) one is one of the better boring ones. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. I like Satanized (Satanized (Remastered Rehearsal 1991) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
