This is the first studio album from Crisis since bad diagnosis in 2005. Crisis was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Crisis and Beautiful Mind together. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Crisis comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Beautiful Mind touched my soul like nothing else.
Dreaming motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Girl Come Home With Me has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Still going through Beautiful Mind and coming to appreciate You Like My Style more and more with every listen. Feeling This hits the heart. Ready Or Not is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Street Life is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Beautiful Mind. Only one song from Beautiful Mind named Dawn Of A Brand New Day really got me. Beautiful Mind gets you up and jumping. Diebetic Flow is a bit of a show-tune. All Night Long is a amazing, simple song by Crisis at the top of his game. Some of the arrangements found on Beautiful Mind are surprisingly edgy. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Get Down, which shows, blatantly, how much Crisis has evolved as a singer. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. This song stands out greatly from the others. Girl You Know - A classic Crisis track. Sureshot is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. You’re So Beautiful is probably the most interesting track on Beautiful Mind. I like My Best Friend because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. I can’t stop playing Day You Were Born. Faithful actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Crisis’s face.
