It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Masada energies, virtually a rebirth. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Masada’s new album to that on ‘At The Mountains of Madness (CD2)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is the first studio album from Masada since bad diagnosis in 2005. At The Mountains of Madness (CD2) touched my soul like nothing else.
The sound in Hath-Arob is really warm and Masada’s signature voice is still very much present. In Abidan the music gets its power. Masada has astounded me with this amazing track. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Idalah-Abal is excellent and different song. Kedem - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love.
