Lead single “Girlfight Feat. Big Boi And Li” and “Taste Of Dis” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s natural for Brooke Valentine to take a stab at ‘Girlfight Feat. Big Boi And Li’ considering her long-professed love for U2. Chain Letter is an amazing album, racked with beauty. If I may, I suggest “Girlfight Feat. Big Boi And Li”. That one song is amazing!
Taste Of Dis makes a person feel gorgeous. Long As You Come Home is a bit of a show-tune. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Vocals of Brooke Valentine in Cover Girl really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Ghetto Superstarz - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Tell Me Why You Don’t Love Me is one of the more up-tempo songs on Chain Letter. Million Bucks Feat. Queenz Del is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Chain Letter have ended. Simple and heartfelt closing track I Want You Dead closes Chain Letter on a high note. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Dying From A Broken Heart from the beginning to the end. Pass Us By is a strong cut, one of many. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Laugh Til I Cry - This is a very lively song. American Girl hits the heart. Voice of Brooke Valentine in Whatcha Lookin At Feat. J.A.H. is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant.
