Since completing 2004’s ‘Intro (Pipes Solo)’, Skyclad fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. When you buy a Skyclad album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since Skyclad last CD (A Semblance Of Normality) on Sparrow Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. Such great and happy songs.
In Do They Mean Us? the music gets its power. A Good Day To Bury Bad News is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Anotherdrinkingsong is another favourite of mine. A Survival Campaign pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The Song Of No-Involvement is perfect. The Parliament Of Fools is a very catchy tune. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in A Semblance Of Normality. Lightening The Load is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. NTRWB is the most memorable and exquisite. Hybrid Blues - arguably the best track on A Semblance Of Normality album. Outro (’The Dissolution Of Parliament’) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody.
