This disc has all of the essential I Walk The Line classics. I Walk The Line’s debut, ‘Desolation Street’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Just Like The Rest and The Man Without A Name. This is what good Alternative should be.
I now have The Man Without A Name as one of my personal favorites. Grand Collapse gives good insight into the truths. Drifter is gorgeous and different song. Dead Seeds (3:20) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Lyrics of World On A Pyre are precise and evocative. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Music in Purity is amazing as in all tracks of Desolation Street. Where Strangers Meet is probably the highlight of the album. Hollow very upbeat. Forever Nights - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Overall a nice softer song.
