Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of 4Lyn on ‘Beautiful Waste’. Self-described as Metal: Alternative with lots of words, 4Lyn comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been eight years 4Lyn’ last studio CD, “Compadres” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Compadres is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
4Lyn breathes new life into the music in Drrty Rokka. One Love pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Last Man Standing - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Compadres. New Breed is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Asshole Of The Week - For me, this is the best of the album. Voice of 4Lyn in Even is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of 4Lyn. I like My Evil Twin because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. After few listenings I started to like Hey Kids (Something Better) more and more. 4Lyn must have run out of lyrics on the next track Chosen. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Strong, powerful vocals of 4Lyn in Ruin Me Now are very impressive. Outta Here is nothing but pure genius.
