Dottor Jekyll and Mister DJ isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It has been seven years Gabry Ponte’ last studio CD, “Dottor Jekyll and Mister DJ” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. seven years ago, Gabry Ponte briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Depends On You”. This is what good Pop should be.
Best song on the album, love it. Vocals of Gabry Ponte in Pump Up The Rhythm really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I hope to keep hearing Gabry Ponte works for a long time to come. La Bambolina (vs. DJ Maxwell) is astounding. Once You Will Believe gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Make Love To You is one of the best records ever. Crazy actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Gabry Ponte’s face. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
