This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by New Model Army. This album has some very good songs like Water and BD3. Since completing 2006’s ‘Water’, New Model Army fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. If I may, I suggest “Water”. That one song is amazing!
BD3 sets the tone for the entire album. New Model Army is one of artists that allow his songs like Prayer Flags to stand on their own and be heard. Carlisle Road makes a person feel exquisite. Red Earth is a bit of a show-tune. Strong, powerful vocals of New Model Army in Too Close To The Sun are very impressive. Bluebeat gives good insight into the truths. There is exquisite mix of music in Another Imperial Day. LS43 is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Island - My least favorite song on this album. Fireworks Night is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day.
