Self-described as Folk with lots of words, Midnight comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Midnight’s new album to that on ‘Sakada’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. On Sakada album, Midnight have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Sakada is not something you should pass up.
Berber Trails one is one of the better boring ones. Charming song, great melody. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. War is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Pain is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Sakada is another strong production from Midnight. Lost Boy is nothing but pure genius. I now have Cat Song as one of my personal favorites.
