‘Riot on the Grill’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. For older fans Riot on the Grill will put a massive smile accross your face. Riot on the Grill isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. One of Ellegarden’s best albums yet.
This track is clearly meant to showcase Ellegarden’s vocal abilities. In Monster you won’t find any flashy solos. Snake Fighting is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Marry Me actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Ellegarden’s face. Missing - A nice song. Bored of Everything is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. This track is full of harmonies and gets Riot on the Grill off to a relaxing start. Niji - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. It’s such an underrated song.
