Fu Manchu’s debut, ‘Start The Machine’, does not fit easily into one genre. Now signed to Fu Manchu’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Start The Machine” leads Fu Manchu’s back-to-school campaign. ‘Start The Machine’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
This track is full of harmonies and gets Start The Machine off to a relaxing start. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I now have Make Them Believe as one of my personal favorites. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Hey is my favorite song on Start The Machine. I’m Gettin’ Away as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Out To Sea as a highlight of Start The Machine contains a ton of excellent melodies. Open Your Eyes is probably one of Fu Manchu’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Today’s Too Soon is astounding. A great put together song. Tunnel Vision has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Fu Manchu’s strong vocals come to the fore. In I Wanna Be Fu Manchu is at his best.
