Self-described as Drum & Bass with lots of words, Capone comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Chicano World 3 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lead single “CW3 Intro” and “B.A.R.R.I.O.” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
B.A.R.R.I.O. is a song to enjoy for years to come. Duck and Run is Capone’s best work in years. They Just Don’t Know is a exquisite song and it grows on you. Walk Away has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Capone’s strong vocals come to the fore. Always and Forever is the song that really did it for me. Nothing ‘Bout You Gangster is a great opener for Chicano World 3. A unique and uplifting song. The song Miss Me With That ending is my favorite… so catchy! Hittin Blocks (Prison Walls) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I Fucked Up is just simply stunning. Capone sings Ugly in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. In If Only You Knew it becomes nowhere more obvious that Capone has yet to define own style. The first time I listened to Why I Stick Around I was struck by its exquisite sound. Wheels Keep Spinning (Remix) sets the tone for the entire album.
