Homicide Volontaire is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Assassin was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Assassin and Homicide Volontaire together. After seeing Ecrire Contre l’Oubli, I had to have a good Assassin cd. This is one of Assassin best albums
Assassin allows each song to breathe and flourish. I loved Guerre Nord-Sud the first time I heard it. The first time I listened to Egocentrisme de l’Assassin I was struck by its excellent sound. Music of Etat Assassine is gentle, never overbearing. Homicide Voluntaire (Intro) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. The sound in Pays Extraordinaire is really warm and Assassin’s signature voice is still very much present. Legal Ou Illegal? is probably one of Assassin’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Probleme? is a cool song and it grows on you. Quand J’Etais Petit as a highlight of Homicide Volontaire contains a ton of cool melodies. Shoota Babylon is almost impossible to review. Still going through Homicide Volontaire and coming to appreciate Undastand? [Live] more and more with every listen. ??Radio?? is a good listen every once in a while. “Ce Sont des Agitateurs! ” without a doubt is the standout song of Homicide Volontaire. I like Atakamalak because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Titre Posthume is another favourite of mine. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Odysse Suit Son Cours - I just love it. Objet has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Assassin’s strong vocals come to the fore. First time I heard Entreohoque des Antidotes was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.
