It’s natural for Molella to take a stab at ‘Desert Of Love’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. When you buy a Molella album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Desert Of Love” and “Village Groove” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Smart music for smart people.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Tell Me without a doubt is the standout song of Made In Italy. Sunshine has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Molella’s strong vocals come to the fore. Baby! is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. The Gong Song - Check out that bassline! I now have Romance as one of my personal favorites. In T.V.A.B the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Simple and heartfelt closing track New Jam closes Made In Italy on a high note. Hi My Girl - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Best song on the album, love it. Molella has astounded me with this amazing track.
