Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Kargo on ‘Enter Djemma’. After seeing Enter Djemma, I had to have a good Kargo cd. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Kargo energies, virtually a rebirth. Dreams Of Marrakesh touched my soul like nothing else.
Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Mellagita - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Kargo. Sunset At The Kaspah is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Dreams Of Marrakesh have ended. Djemma-El-Fna is the album’s biggest hit, I think. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Drumbata is perfect. Cobrabora gets you up and jumping. Kargo has astounded me with this amazing track. Departure is probably the highlight of the album.
