Since completing 2005’s ‘Por Te CasarTi Sposero Perche)’, Carlos Vives fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. On Romantico album, Carlos Vives have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Carlos Vives was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Carlos Vives and Romantico together. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Carlos Vives ever.
Aventurera - A classic Carlos Vives track. Cancie Amor Eterno gives good insight into the truths. Te Extra - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Me Estoy Muriendo de Amor is just simply stunning. Qute Aqu is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Voice of Carlos Vives in Si Es Que Te Vas is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Sin Negativo is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Casi un Hechizo is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. No Podras Escapar de M is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Al Centro de la Ciudad - I like this one. MQue THay Nadie is probably the most interesting track on Romantico.
