This disc has all of the essential Edgar Winter classics. Since Edgar Winter last CD (White Trash) on ForeFront Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. ‘White Trash’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. If I may, I suggest “Give It Everything You Got”. That one song is amazing!
Good Morning Music is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Fly Away can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Edgar Winter is all about. Where Could I Be is the first taste of the new album. Let’s Get It On is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. The sound of I’ ve Got News For You is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I’ve found myself listening to Save The Planet back to back and back many times. Dying To Live gets you up and jumping. I came to like Keep Olayin’ That Rock’ n’ Roll. All of songs on White Trash and have something to say letting alone You Were My Light.
