There is so much to love about Todd Snider, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Todd Snider comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been sixteen years Todd Snider’ last studio CD, “East Nashville Skyline” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I wish that “East Nashville Skyline” album was instrumental.
Charming song, great melody. Play A Train Song is a strong cut, one of many. Alcohol And Pills was the first single release from the album East Nashville Skyline. I have all of Todd Snider’s tracks and Good News Blues is probably the most his introspective effort. Todd Snider is hitting on all cylinders in The Ballad Of The Kingsmen. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Todd Snider. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Conservative Christian, Right Wing, Republican, Straight, White, American Males, which shows, blatantly, how much Todd Snider has evolved as a singer. I find myself hearing bits of Incarcerated here and there throughout my waking hours. Todd Snider breathes new life into the music in Nashville. I like the idea behind Sunshine. Enjoy Yourself - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody.
