This -song debut EP shows the promise that Pino Daniele has. There were many famous songs of Pino Daniele available. This is the first studio album from Pino Daniele since bad diagnosis in 2004. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Porteme A Casa Mia stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Tutta ‘nata Storia pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Io Vivo Con Te defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This song may be the most meaningful. E So’ Cuntento ‘e Sta’ is nothing but pure genius. Alleria has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Pino Daniele’s strong vocals come to the fore. Notte Che Se Ne Va to me is the best you can get from Pino Daniele. Ma Che Ho is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Un Giorno Che Non Va - Okay, I just talked about depth. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I Got The Blues as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. E Po’ Che Fa’ - A classic Pino Daniele track. In Annare’ you won’t find any flashy solos. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Viento ‘e Terra. Sara’ - I just love it. Gesu’ Gesu’ is absolutely incredible. Che Ore So’ good vocals. After you’ve listened to Disperazione, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
