On the Lithuania charts, superstar Pino Daniele’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Pino Daniele has. Lead single “Napule E’” and “Basta ‘na Jurnata E Sole” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. If I may, I suggest “Napule E’”. That one song is amazing!
I can’t stop humming along Basta ‘na Jurnata E Sole. This song is dynamic and dramatic. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Pino Daniele has astounded me with this amazing track. ‘Na Tazzulella ‘e Cafe’ is the more seemingly obscure song on The Platinum Collection (CD 1) that bear up best to repeated listening. If you are a Pino Daniele fan, you will love Je Sto Vicino A Te. I now have Je So’ Pazzo as one of my personal favorites. Che Calore is worth the money. …E Cerca ‘e Me Capi’ is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Putesse Essere Allegro is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Chillo E’ Nu Buono Guaglione stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Chi Tene ‘o Mare is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Pino Daniele ever produced. Il Mare is a bit different from Pino Daniele stereotypical stuff. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Voglio Di Piu’ one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Music of Musica Musica is gentle, never overbearing. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Blew our minds when we first heard Cammina Cammina. I listened to the opening track Appocundria and liked it a lot. Terra Mia is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Don’t judge A Testa In Giu’ on the first listening.
