twelve years ago, Los Tigres del Norte briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Muerte Anunciada”. ‘La Muerte del Soplon’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. After seeing Mi Buena Suerte, I had to have a good Los Tigres del Norte cd. This is one of Los Tigres del Norte best albums
I find myself hearing bits of Muerte Anunciada here and there throughout my waking hours. Los Tigres del Norte has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Dos Plebes is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Vivan Los Mojados (Los Mojados) hits the heart. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Orgullo Maldito. Ya Encontraron a Camelia - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Although Pacas de a Kilo is very melodic it is far from sad. Hijos de Hernandez is worth the money. Pedro y Pablo is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Espinazo del Diablo gets you up and jumping. Avion de La Muerte is another favourite of mine. Tumba del Mojado presents the marvelous mix of instruments on La Muerte del Soplon. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in La Muerte del Soplon. Muerte del Soplon make listening to Los Tigres del Norte like being in some sort of time warp.
