This is one of the best Cd’s Guy Clark has dropped to date. While no new Guy Clark album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2006 tour in North America. On Workbench Songs album, Guy Clark have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Workbench Songs touched my soul like nothing else.
After few listenings I started to like Analog Girl more and more. Worry B Gone is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I love the melodic melody of Cinco De Mayo In Memphis and to this day it makes me feel good. When I listen to No Lonesome Tune in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Out In The Parkin’ Lot is a fine track on any terms. Funny Bone is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I listened to the opening track Magdalene and liked it a lot. Tornado Time In Texas is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Walkin’ Man is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
