‘Jewel Box’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the first studio album from Govi since bad diagnosis in 2006. Govi’s debut, ‘Jewel Box’, does not fit easily into one genre. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Jewel Box.
It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Put Nettie Gem into car stereo for your highway driving Sapphire Sky is really the reason why I recommend buying Jewel Box. Diamond Sutra which is my favorite is a truly Govi sounding song. Gandhi With The Jewels is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Diamonds In The Dew - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. In Emerald Eyes it becomes nowhere more obvious that Govi has yet to define own style. My Precious (4:12) a good melody.
