Jacek Kaczmarski was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Jacek Kaczmarski and Dwie Sarmacje together. Since Jacek Kaczmarski last CD (Dwie Sarmacje) on Mute Records back in 2005, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album has some very good songs like Berestecka potrzeba Apollo spiewa and Do muzy suplikacja….. I wish that “Dwie Sarmacje” album was instrumental.
Do muzy suplikacja…. motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Voice of Jacek Kaczmarski in Dobre rady Pana Ojca is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Dwie Sarmacje couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Drzewo genealogiczne. Elekcja still maintains something of a specific flourish. Krajobraz po uczcie I just LOVE this mix! I hope to keep hearing Jacek Kaczmarski works for a long time to come. O tej muzyce (3:09) - awsome. I can’t stop playing Oswiadczyny i przykcie. Pan Kmicic is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I can’t stop humming along Piesn konfederatyw. After you’ve listened to Piesn neobarska, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Piesn o bitwie pod Mozgawa - A catchy, upbeat tune. I think Polonez biesiadny is the best song Jacek Kaczmarski has ever done. Psalm rodowodowy is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. The sound in Taniec smierci is really warm and Jacek Kaczmarski’s signature voice is still very much present. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
