IF YOU LIKE ALL Cursive’S SONG GO FOR IT! This album has some very good songs like Opening The Hymnalbabies and Dorothy At Forty. When you buy a Cursive album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Overall, I would highly recommend Happy Hollow CD.
Cursive is one of artists that allow his songs like Dorothy At Forty to stand on their own and be heard. Best song on the album, love it. Bad Sects - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Flag and Family is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Once Retreat! gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Some of the arrangements found on Happy Hollow are surprisingly edgy. At Conception - a classic song. The song So-So Gigolo ending is my favorite… so catchy! In Bad Science Cursive is at his best. Into The Fold is the funkiest number on the album. Such hits like Rise Up! Rise Up! will leave you hooked. I like Hymns For The Heathen because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
