It’s natural for The Alarm to take a stab at ‘Sixty Eight Guns (Single Version)’ considering her long-professed love for Green Grey. This is the first studio album from The Alarm since bad diagnosis in 2006. There were many famous songs of The Alarm available. To me The Alarm is the best band ever.
A great put together song. Rain In The Summertime (Single Version) great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. After about the third Strength (Single Version) listen through, I began to believe this song is The Alarm’s essence. This song may be the most meaningful. Majority pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The Deceiver (Single Version) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. One Step Closer To Home - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Presence Of Love gets you up and jumping. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Album opener Rescue Me (Tearing The Bonds Asunder Mix) is a bright, upbeat ditty. This track is clearly meant to showcase The Alarm’s vocal abilities. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. The Alarm offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. I’ve found myself listening to A New South Wales back to back and back many times. I was truly moved when I heard Love Don’t Come Easy. Blaze Of Glory (Alternate Version) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track is just fantastic from start to finish.
