When you buy a Slowdive album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is one of the best Cd’s Slowdive has dropped to date. Catch the Breeze isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. To me Slowdive is the best band ever.
Avalyn 1 is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Once Morningrise gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Slowdive is one of artists that allow his songs like She Calls to stand on their own and be heard. Still going through Catch the Breeze and coming to appreciate Catch the Breeze more and more with every listen. This song stands out greatly from the others. Slowdive offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. I think Spanish Air is the best song Slowdive has ever done. Waves is probably one of Slowdive’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Alison is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. All of songs on Catch the Breeze and have something to say letting alone So Tired. Sing is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Souvlaki Space Station - My least favorite song on this album. Machine Gun is nothing but pure genius. Here She Comes one of the best in my collection. When The Sun Hits motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. It’s such an underrated song. Good Day Sunshine can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Slowdive is all about. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Rutti is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Crazy for You from the beginning to the end. I believe Trellisaze is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. Put Blue Skied an’ Clear into car stereo for your highway driving
