Patrick Doyle’s debut, ‘Eragon’, does not fit easily into one genre. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Patrick Doyle’s new album to that on ‘Eragon’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Patrick Doyle had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Patrick Doyle is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Roran Leaves without a doubt is the standout song of Eragon. In Saphira’s First Flight it becomes nowhere more obvious that Patrick Doyle has yet to define own style. Ra’zac one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Fortune Teller is perfect. Patrick Doyle sings If You Were Flying in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Brom’s Story is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I now have Durza as one of my personal favorites. Passing The Flame is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Battle for Varden is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Together is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Saphira Returns is the perfect blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Legend of Eragon is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Keep Holding On -Avril Lavigne I just LOVE this mix! This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
