Pete Rock had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Pete Rock’s album Soul Survivor Vol.2 falls to No. 2 with 205,000, a sales slide of 66%. Lead single “Truth Is Feat. Black Ice” and “Head Rush, More Base Ft. Rza & Gza” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Enjoy the show.
|titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Soul Survivor Vol.2. Fly Till I Die Ft. Talib Kweli & Cl Smooth - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Warzone Feat. Dead Prez is possibly the best song Pete Rock has come up. Da Villa Feat. Slum Village is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. We Good Feat. Kardinal Offishall is a very catchy tune. Just Do It Feat. Pharoahe Monch is astounding. In Give it to Ya’ Ft. Little Brother the music gets its power. Head Rush Feat. RZA and GZA is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. One MC One DJ Feat. Skillz is a marvelous sing-along. Beef Feat. Krumbsnatcha is a medium tempo tune. All of songs on Soul Survivor Vol.2 and have something to say letting alone No Tears Feat. Leela James.
