It’s natural for Various Artists to take a stab at ‘The way you move (Outkast)’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Fetenhits - Best of 2004 CD1′ really is amazing. This is one of the best Cd’s Various Artists has dropped to date. Such great and happy songs.
What sets Troy (Die Fantastischen Vier) apart is Various Artists’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Dragostea Din Tei (O-Zone). Perfekte Welle (Juli) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Blue Lagoon is the funkiest number on the album. It’s such an underrated song. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Obsesion (Aventura) because the melody in the chorus is so good. In La promesse (Kate Ryan) the music gets its power. So lonely (Novaspace) is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. I like to sing along with 7 years and 50 days (Groove Coverage), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. I love the melodic melody of Love is an angel (Sylver) and to this day it makes me feel good. Move ya body (Nina Sky) is worth the money. This is the world we live in (Alcazar) catches attention immediately, Voice and instruments in Take me to the clounds above (LMC vs. U2) complement each other. Is it cos’ I’m cool (Mousse T.) is a exquisite, simple song by Various Artists at the top of his game. Mamae eu quero (Ritmo Rio feat. Leticia) is simple, dignified and effective, Various Artists refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Call on me (Eric Prydz) is the song that really did it for me. I now have Lola s theme (Shapeshifters) as one of my personal favorites. If I were you (Candee Jay) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
