Joyful Rebellion isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Joyful Rebellion carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. I am not a real Rap: Hip-Hop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Joyful Rebellion’ really is amazing. If you want to hear real Rap: Hip-Hop, get this record now!
Crucial is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything K-Os released so far. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Man I Used to Be, which shows, blatantly, how much K-Os has evolved as a singer. Crabbuckit is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. After few listenings I started to like B-Boy Stance more and more. K-Os is one of artists that allow his songs like Commandante to stand on their own and be heard. All of songs on Joyful Rebellion and have something to say letting alone Love Song. In Hallelujah you won’t find any flashy solos. Clap Ur Hands is so unique, as each one of the songs is. After you’ve listened to Neutroniks, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Joyful Rebellion. One Blood (Jiggy Homicide) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Paper Cutz - K-O’s, k-os, k-os is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
